Growing Chefs! Ontario

Growing Chefs! Ontario was founded with two main goals in mind:

• To provide an avenue for chefs and growers to engage in the community and to support food sustainability.
• To support and encourage the development and growth of children’s urban agriculture.

We aim to create a forum for chefs, educators, growers, community groups and families to work together to further awareness of food sustainability.

Most importantly, we wish to inspire children with the idea that they can grow their own food, even in the city.

Requirements

GrowingChefs! Ontario came to webAssist to develop a web site and CD-ROM that could be used as a marketing and fundraising tool.

Solution

webAssist created a unique logo and child-friendly look-and-feel for GrowingChefs! Ontario.

Result

After receiving additional funding, GrowingChefs! Ontario has expanded into more local schools, recruited more Community partners and volunteers to help grow their program.
