Hy-Cor International Inc is a supplier of specialty abrasive products and safety equipment to both Canadian and U.S. distributors. As a brand new company Hy-cor needed guidance with regards to their website and marketing materials and brought webAssist onboard to provide the electronic means of their branding.

Hy-Cor emphasizes four major market segments covering Construction, Waterworks, Industrial and Mechanical distribution. Since inception in January 2009, Hy-Cor's philosophy is to create a brand image of quality products, superior service and a “people first” attitude for their distributional network.

Requirements

The company came to webAssist needing a professional web presence along with management capabilities to maintain the ever-expanding product line.

Solution

webAssist created a custom animated mascot "Johnny Hy-Cor" to interact with visitors to the website.

A secure distributor log-in area was also created that allows Hy-Cor customers to create and print custom sell sheets - for display at their location, as well as email promotions.

The web site also includes a robust CMS (content management system).

Result

Hy-Cor's business has already expanded beyond expectations and plans for additional web site functionality are underway.
