United Way of London and Middlesex

Description

webAssist was secured by United Way of London Middlesex to provide an online marketing and campaign donation website. Connecting back into the community via success stories, and video meant reigniting the spark behind United Way's historically founded flagship.

Requirements

The existing CMS (content management system) that United Way was using was very limiting for the site administrators to use. They had difficulty updating content on the web site, posting news items and uploading pictures or graphics.

Solution

During several sit-down meetings with United Way representatives, we were able to discuss which aspects of their existing CMS were working for them, those that needed improvement and which aspects were lacking all together. Using their feedback, we were able to create custom modules for the CMS that would enable the United Way to maintain the content on the site, as fundraising and campaign events were being announced and taking place.

Result

Working parallel with United Way’s agency of record, webAssist was able to develop consistent branding into their website. The site administrators currently have a robust CMS that will allow them to update site content with ease and accuracy. Utilizing social networking websites such as facebook, GenNext, Youtube and Flickr as a viral donation tool brought United Way's business collateral into the 21st century.
